Dr. Luxenberg earned his Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude in Biology from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and his medical degree cum laude from Downstate Medical College in Brooklyn, New York.  He went on to an Internship in the Internal Medicine Department at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, New York.  Dr. Luxenberg then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida Medical Center in Tampa.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Luxenberg is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Florida Medical Association, Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society and Pinellas County Medical Society.
