Dr. Applebaum – specializes in Cosmetics and Oculoplastic. He is involved in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face in both adults and children. Some of the surgeries include:
- Upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty
- Eyebrow lifts
- Repair after skin cancer removal
- Many others
Dr. Applebaum completed a combined MD and MBA program at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. After medical school, Dr. Applebaum completed a one-year Transitional internship at the Virginia Tech/Carilion School of Medicine. Spending three years at the University of South Florida, he completed his Ophthalmology residency (in June 2015). He then completed an additional year of fellowship training in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the J. Justin Older Eyelid Institute.
Specializing in cosmetic injectables, such as Botox, Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, and Kybella, Dr. Applebaum provides comprehensive care with these and other aesthetic techniques.
Dr. Chen – specializes in Eye Muscle Surgery and Pediatric Care. She treats eye injuries, common vision disorders, and eye diseases. Children in her office at Florida Eye Specialists and Cataract Institute are seen in child-friendly rooms, filled with toys and instruments to make the exam as stress-free as possible. With a waiting room with movies and playroom, a fun atmosphere is created.
With her training in Ophthalmology, Dr. Chen completed her residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She had the privilege of training with leaders in the field of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine for her fellowship.
Dr. Kohlhepp – specializes in the Retina. She is board certified in Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and the Pasco County Medical Society.
Her education includes completion of an internship in the Department of Pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital and another in the Department of Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York. Dr. Kohlhepp then completed a Residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at Catholic Medical Center in Flushing, New York, and a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of Nebraska in Omaha.
Dr. Luxenberg – specializes in Primary Eye Care. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, as well as a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Florida Medical Association, Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society and Pinellas County Medical Society.
Dr. Luxenberg interned in the Internal Medicine Department at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, New York. He then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida Medical Center in Tampa.
