Dr. Lawrence earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont, and his medical degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  He then completed an Externship with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare’s Indian Health Services with an emphasis on primary eye care.

In practice since 1981, Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Hillsborough Society of Optometrists, Sigma Alpha Sigma Honor Student Fraternity and Beta Sigma Kappa Internations Optometric Honor Fraternity.  He has been a staff member of Florida Eye Specialists and Cataract Institute since 1995.
