Ignatius C. Cyriac, M.D. – With a specialty of Glaucoma, Dr. Cyriac is board certified in Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association. On staff since 2007, Dr. Cyriac has been in private practice since 1999.
His previous education includes training in Glaucoma through a fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Deen Gray King, M.D. – With specialties of Glaucoma and Cataracts, Dr. King has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine since 1989. He has been featured at numerous presentations at conferences and medical meetings. A staff member at Florida Eye Specialists and Cataract Institute since 1992, he has been in private practice since 1989.
Regarding previous education, Dr. King completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma Research at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Edward J. Huggett, Jr, O.D – With a specialty of Low Vision, Dr. Huggett is Board certified as an Optometric Physician. He is a past Chairman of the Florida Optometric Association Low Vision Section and co-presents a monthly broadcast of International Macular Degeneration Support.
His experience and education includes post-graduate course work in vision rehabilitation at Lighthouse International in New York, NY.
Charles A. Luxenberg, M.D. – With a specialty of Primary Eye Care, Dr. Luxenberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Florida Medical Association, Pinellas County Medical Society and the Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society.
Educationally, Dr. Luxenberg did his Internship in the Internal Medicine Department at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, New York; he then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida Medical Center in Tampa.
Craig E. Munger, M.D., Ph.D. – With specialties of Cosmetics, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Oculoplastic, Dr. Munger is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been on staff since 1996. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is the author of many published abstracts and articles.
Dr. Munger completed his Internship in Internal Medicine and a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Following this was an Oculoplastic Fellowship in Orbital and Neuro-Ophthalmic Surgery at Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Ana Maria Oliva, M.D. – With specialties of Cataracts and the Cornea, Dr. Oliva specializes in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and is skilled in the latest most cutting-edge surgical techniques. Her expertise also includes newer technology intraocular lens implants, corneal transplants and other disorders of the lens and cornea; other areas of expertise include dry eye disorders, photorefractive keratotomy, and complex cataracts. Her extensive experience includes work in the surgical correction of astigmatism and refractive error. Dr. Oliva is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, Florida Society of Ophthalmology and Tampa Bay Ophthalmologic Society.
Included in her education is an Internship in Internal Medicine, a Residency in Ophthalmology and a Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Nandesh Patel, M.D., F.A.C.S. – With a specialty of the Retina, Dr. Patel was first trained in Internal Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. General Ophthalmology training was completed at the world-renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear, Throat Hospital/New York University School of Medicine.
His specialized fellowship training in the surgical and medical diseases of the retina and vitreous was completed at the University of South Florida College of Medicine which entailed care and surgery of patients at the University, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Bay Pines Veterans Hospital, and Tampa General Hospital. In addition to clinical experience, Dr. Patel participated in various investigational trials at multiple centers, evaluating the role of the latest groundbreaking treatments for:
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Macular degeneration
