Dr. Oliva, a native to the Tampa area, is fluent in Spanish and takes a personalized approach to restoring her patients’ sight. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and her medical degree from the University of South Florida, where she remains a member of the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine, a residency in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Her excellence as a physician has been highlighted by her service as chief resident, multiple publications in highly regarded medical journals and presentations of advanced independent research at several major national Ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Oliva specializes in new technologies such as laser-assisted cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. She also specializes in corneal diseases and post refractive surgery patients. Additionally, Dr. Oliva serves as a physician expert and quality of care reviewer for Medicare.
