Dr. Rego received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of California, Davis. Following his passion for helping people, Dr. Rego moved to Fort Lauderdale where he completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. His post-graduate training continued with a one year residency at The Eye Care Institute of Nova Southeastern University where he specialized in geriatrics, low vision, and Ocular Disease. Dr. Rego was clinical faculty and residency supervisor for 3 years prior to moving to the west coast of Florida. Dr. Rego spent the last 9 years working with a busy multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in the Bradenton area and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience diagnosing and managing complex ocular conditions.
Outside of work, Dr. Rego loves traveling and spending time near the water!
